Spending time outdoors in the natural environment is great for your health - a great way to get fit but also to relax and de-stress yourself too.
With rolling downland, secluded woodlands, wide open heaths and a dramatic coastline the AONB is the perfect place to stretch your legs and get some fresh air.
We have a good selection of long distance routes such as the South West Coast Path National Trail, the Wessex Ridgeway and good sections of the National Cycle Network, all well signposted and with good links to public transport. However, if you prefer to make up your own routes we have over 2000 miles of footpath, bridleway and byway to choose from as well as over 5000 hectares of open access land, giving you endless possibilities to explore.
